YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -
An Austintown man has been found guilty of murdering his stepmother at her home in 2015.
Jury selection began on Tuesday, where a judge found 36-year-old James Jarrell guilty of murdering his stepmother at her home on Youngstown's west side.
Jarrell was arrested in September of 2015 in Pittsburgh where authorities say he was driving a vehicle stolen from the scene of the murder of his own step-mother, 55-year-old Tina Jarrell.
The woman's husband found her stabbed to death on the living room floor of their Wellington Avenue home in July of that year.
Jarrell has been found guilty of murder, tampering of evidence, receiving stolen property. Court records show Jarrell was found not guilty of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.
The judge says Jarrell could face 19 years to life in prison.
