WARREN, Ohio - The WRTA is expanding its Warren Express route to an hourly service starting next Tuesday. 

Today the city held a Ride with the Mayor event. Mayor Doug Franklin boarded the bus this morning to make people aware of the route.

Warren Mayor Doug Franklin told 21 News, "Having ridden on the service today, it was a lot different than looking at a print spreadsheet and looking at numbers. I can actually see and feel and hear the demand for service."

Day passes for the WRTA bus will continue to be priced at $3.00, and they can be purchased when boarding the bus.
