Storms To End The Week And A Much Cooler Weekend
Another fairly quiet weather day is in store for Thursday with a good deal of sunshine in the forecast. Temperatures will be on the warm side and it will be rather humid for this time of the year. Thursday night will be very warm and humid as well.
A strong cold front is set to sweep through the area late in the day on Friday. The July-like heat and humidity will help fuel showers and thunderstorms ahead of and along the front; any of the storms may be on the strong side.
Things can get a little bumpy Friday evening with a strong cold front heading our way. Strong winds will be the main threat. Some locally heavy rain also possible although storms will be moving pretty quickly. pic.twitter.com/pZRoicNp3i

The air behind the front will be much cooler! The weekend forecast includes a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures no higher than the upper 60s to near 70. Rain is likely to return early next week.
