An Austintown woman was in the Mahoning County jail Tuesday morning accused of a stabbing at her home.

Township Police say 39-year-old Aron Toole was stabbed following a fight at the home on the 3700 block of Burkey Road shortly before 7 pm Monday.

Stephanie Fox, 33, was arrested at her home and booked into jail on a charge of felonious assault.

According to police, when they arrived at the home, Toole came to the door with a towel wrapped around his upper chest and back with dry blo0od on his hands and chest.

A report says officers asked Toole if he was injured at which time he replied: "yea she f****** stabbed me".

Police say Toole was visibly struggling to breathe and leaning to the left side. Paramedics were called out to begin treating him and he was subsequently taken to the hospital.

Officers say they spoke with Fox who said told them that she and Toole had been arguing and the fight became physical, at which point she allegedly said she grabbed the knife because she has a broken foot.

A police report says Fox told officers, "I know what I did was wrong, but I didn't know what else to do."

Police say Fox also told them that she had offered to call an ambulance, but that Toole had told her not to.

Fox was arrested and booked into the Mahoning County Jail on charges of felonious assault.

Fox reportedly also had several warrants out for her arrest for unrelated drug charges.

Police say while at the hospital Toole was diagnosed with several broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
