After tonight television viewers will no longer have to endure the sometimes wall-to-wall barrage of campaign ads telling why they should or should not vote for a candidate.

Voters in both the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys are going to the polls to choose the people who will help run our national, state and local governments.

Voters across Ohio will decide who will be the next governor.  Republican Mike Dewine and Democrat Richard Cordray are on the ballot along with candidates from the Green and Libertarian parties.

Pennsylvania

Over the state line in Mercer County, to call the race for 16th District Congress “hotly-contested” would be an understatement. Incumbent Republican Mike Kelly and Democrat Ron Dinicola have been furiously campaigning throughout the recently redrawn district and buying a lot of Tv ad time.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Tom Wolf is being challenged by Republican Scott R. Wagner, Green Party candidate Paul Glover, and Libertarian Ken Krawchuk.

Voters in Mercer County are also deciding if they wish to retain Republican 50th District State Senator Michele Brooks or cast their vote for Democrat Sue Mulvey.

Incumbent 8th District State Representative Tedd Nesbit, a Republican, faces off against Democrat Lisa Boeving-Learned.
