WARREN, Ohio - Warren city Leaders will consider a resolution to show support for the workers of General Motors Lordstown. 

A new piece of legislation will be considered at a special council meeting on Monday. Leaders will consider the resolution to show solidarity with GM Lordstown employees. 

The resolution specifically asks President Donald Trump, Senator Sherrod Brown, Senator Rob Portman, Congressman Tim Ryan, Congressman Bill Johnson, Governor John Kasich, Governor-Elect Mike DeWine, and state senators and state representatives to "put all partisan differences aside" in order to help. 

In addition, Warren city leaders say in the resolution that they will help the Drive it Home campaign by educating community members about the importance of GM Lordstown 

Wednesday evening Weathersfield Township trustees voted unanimously to pass a similar resolution.  

They called on all communities in the Mahoning Valley to do the same.
