Traffic light malfunction fixed at Boardman's Route 224 and Southern Blvd.
A traffic light malfunction is causing some confusion at a busy Boardman Township intersection.

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A traffic light malfunction caused some confusion at a busy Boardman Township intersection Friday morning.
State troopers said the traffic lights at Route 224 and Southern Boulevard was red in all directions.
The intersection is near the railroad tracks and the Southern Park Mall.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says a nearby fire station has a button that allows them to turn all nearby signals red when they are called out for an emergency.
According to ODOT, the switch malfunctioned, causing the lights to remain red.
The issue was resolved around 8 am.
