Silent warning sirens reported in Warren and Hubbard
Officials are expected to be investigating reports that some sirens didn't sound during Sunday afternoon's stormy weather in Trumbull County.

WARREN, Ohio - Officials are expected to be investigating reports that some sirens didn't sound during Sunday afternoon's stormy weather in Trumbull County.
At 4:20 pm Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for southern Trumbull County after a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was detected near Leavittsburgh.
Trumbull County dispatch received reports at 6:35 pm that sirens did not go off in the Hubbard and Warren as the storms approached.
The powerful weather moved through quickly but brought down trees, wires, and damaged property during the short time moved from Southington to Brookfield.
Weather experts say people shouldn't rely on sirens to be alerted about severe weather.
For alerts indoors, the National Weather Service says every home and business should have an NOAA Weather Radio All-Hazards. NOAA Weather Radio is like a smoke detector for severe weather, and it can wake you up when a warning is issued for your area so you can take appropriate action.
