A Warren couple was arrested after they fell asleep in a car with several small children present.

Police were called to the 2000 block of Parkman Road because they received a call about a male and female passed out in the car while a child was moving inside.

When police arrived, they saw 28-year-old Jessica Yauger and a male sleeping in the front seat of the car.

According to the report, police saw a small girl laying across Yauger's lap and three small children in the back seat of the car.

After police woke Yauger up, they asked her to identify the male sitting in the car with her. The male was identified as Yauger's boyfriend, 25-year-old Azhon Bennett.

Police say that after they woke Yauger up, they positioned themselves on the other side of the vehicle in an attempt to wake Bennett up.

When Bennett woke up, police say that they yelled at him not to grab whatever was in his waistband because they feared it might have been a weapon. It was later identified that Bennett was in possession of a very realistic looking pellet gun.

Police arrested and charged Bennett with one count of child endangering.

The report states that police also arrested Yauger and charged her with three counts of child endangering and one count of an open container for a 12-ounce bottle of Bud Light.

Bennett and Yauger were both scheduled to appear in the Warren Municipal Court on Tuesday morning, but according to the court they both failed to appear, and a warrant will be issued.
