The Youngstown Unitarian Church is planning to host a vigil to end detention camps along the border later this week. 

The event, "Lights for Liberty - A vigil to end human detention camps," is sponsored by Jacob Labends, HolaOhio, and Sojourn to the Past. 

Organizers said the event coincides with other groups across the country holding vigils to end detention camps on the border. 

The event starts at 5:00 pm Friday and is located at the Unitarian Church at 1105 Elm Street by Wick Park.
