CORTLAND, Ohio - Police have arrested a suspect in a Cortland convenience store robbery.

Cortland police say the suspect, 20-year-old Clayton Felder, Jr. of Youngstownwas arrested on a warrant out of Cuyahoga County on Tuesday.

Police say they found Felder at his girlfriend's home on Morrow Dr in Bazetta Township. He was then taken to the police department where police say he fully confessed to the armed robbery. 

According to Trumbull County 911 records, a hold-up alarm went off just before 8 a.m. Monday at the Valley View Food Mart on South High Street.

The clerk reported that the suspect was armed with a gun and took cash from the register.

The clerk said she was told that if she called the police, he would come back and shoot her.

The suspect walked out of the store before running away on South Mecca Street.

Felder is booked on a charge of aggravated robbery.
