NEWTON TWP, Ohio - State Troopers have filed charges against a Warren man involved in a head-on crash in Newton Falls earlier this year.
Twenty-nine-year-old Nicholas Mollohan was booked into the Trumbull County Jail Monday on charges of aggravated vehicular assault and driving under the influence.
The charges stem from a February 5th crash on State Route 534 in Newton Township.
Troopers say Mollohan of Warren was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck that traveled left of center, striking a 24-year-old woman driving a Dodge Avenger.
Mollohan, who was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The other driver's injuries were not life-threatening,
Lieutenant Brian Vail said testing showed Mollohan had methamphetamine and other prescription drugs in his system.
Mollohan faces arraignment on the charges in Newton Falls Municipal Court.
