Boardman Police draw guns on stolen van suspect along Market Street
Several police cruisers were called to Market Street Wednesday morning as officers stopped a suspected stolen vehicle south of the Southern Park Mall.
Several police cruisers were called to Market Street Wednesday morning as officers stopped a suspected stolen van south of the Southern Park Mall.
Police Chief Todd Werth tells 21 News that the traffic stop was made shortly after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Charles Avenue.
Witnesses told 21 News they saw officers with their guns drawn and traffic was stopped in the area.
The chief said two people were arrested, 35-year-old Jordan Hall and 41-year-old Danielle Kramer.
Hall is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, while Kramer is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was issued a summons., while Hall was taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
Police tell 21 News that officers drawing their guns is part of the protocol when dealing with a felony arrest.
