A boy was saved after a near-drowning at a Niles apartment complex.

The call came in just before 12:30 p.m. for a boy who was possibly drowning at a pool at the Royal Mall Apartments.

"A little boy jumped in the pool. My husband went to go get him because he wasn’t coming back up. Now he’s giving him CPR," a frantic 911 caller told dispatchers.

A resident there says the boy wandered into the deep end of the pool and started struggling.

Dispatchers say the boy was transported, but they believe he is going to be OK.
