A seventh grader from an Ohio school is being hailed as hero in his hometown for an act of generosity and kindness.

Diesel Pippert, who attends classes in Huron County's Western Reserve School District, earned $15,000 in livestock premiums at the Huron CountyFair large animal sale.

According to a post on the school's Facebook, the young man has donated every penny of the premiums to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

St. Jude treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The Facebook post says that Diesel “should be an example to us all”.
