A woman from Bristolville has been arrested on a charge of felonious assault for allegedly driving her SUV into a Warren woman.

Kelsey Lynch, 26, was booked into the Trumbull County Jail where she awaited video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Monday.

According to witnesses, a 26-year-old woman told police that she was struck by a white Chevy SUV while attending a gathering outside a home on Jefferson Street SW home on August 11.

The victim, who received treatment for her injuries at St. Joseph Hospital, told police she believed she was struck intentionally.

According to the police report, the SUV also struck the home.

An officer pulled over a white SUV with substantial front end damage on the next street over from Jefferson Street and spoke to the driver, Kelsey Lynch, who claimed she thought her SUV was in reverse when it was actually in drive, and didn't mean to run into the woman.

Lynch, who said she had also been injured in the crash and was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, was not arrested until Monday.
