Hundreds gathered at the Austintown 9/11 Memorial Park Wednesday to honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on September 11.

Several officers spoke about that tragic day, and a bell was rung four times to commemorate each plane crash.

A moment of silence was held, taps were played, and a 21 gun salute was given.

The event had o be cut short because of weather.
