Woman arrested in connection to Struthers Family Dollar Robbery

STRUTHERS, Ohio - UPDATE: On March 2, 2020, charges of theft and assault filed against Manda in Struthers Municipal Court were dismissed
A Struthers woman is in jail after allegedly stealing merchandise from Family Dollar Friday night.
According to the report, Samantha Manda stole merchandise from the Family Dollar on Youngstown Poland Road.
After paying for some items, Manda allegedly went to the back of the store to retrieve more merchandise.
Police say Manda exited the store and the security buzzer began beeping.
Reports say Manda and a store employee had a physical altercation as Manda attempted to flee the store.
Officers say the employee was able to retrieve a onesie from Manda that said, “I Stole Grandma’s Heart.”
According to the report, Manda called the Struthers Police Department after leaving the store to report an assault by the Family Dollar employee.
Manda was advised by police to come to the Struthers Police Department.
Reports say Manda was matched to the description of the robbery suspect while at the station and was arrested.
Manda was booked in the Mahoning County Jail.
Her bond has not yet been set.
