Dozens of people showed support Saturday afternoon for fallen Girard Police Officer, Justin Leo.

The 2nd Annual Justin Leo Run/Walk kicked off in front of American Legion Post 234 Auxiliary on High Street.

The Mayor and others spoke about Leo before the run began.

Leo was killed in the line of duty nearly two years ago in October while responding to a domestic incident.

The run/walk was 3.24 kilometers, the same number of his police badge number.

Participants traveled over the Officer Justin A. Leo Memorial Bridge.

An emotional time for the Leo family as the 2nd year anniversary of their sons death is next month.

"You go across the bridge and you see his name and it doesn't get any easier," said David Leo. "But you know our community has been there for us and we knew after everything happened that we would fall at some point. But, we also knew that the community would be there to catch us."
