UAW gives proposal to GM, could reach tentative agreement
The UAW and GM seem to be close to a tentative agreement.
According to the letter, UAW-GM Vice President and Director Terry Dittes sent a letter to UAW members providing an update on their negotiations.
The letter says that the UAW gave a counterproposal to the company's last offer that included all of the outstanding proposals that were unsettled.
According to the letter, if GM accepts the proposal, the UAW and GM will have a tentative agreement.
As of 8:30 p.m. Friday, GM has not accepted the proposal.
