Two people accused of hiding the body of a man who overdosed in a Sharon home last month are in the Mercer County Jail.

Thirty-two-year-old James Clarke and 24-year-old Samantha Gregory were arraigned Tuesday on charges of abuse of a corpse and tampering with or fabricating evidence.

The two were arrested after Sharon Police issued an alert for the pair on Friday.

Police say the case involves the discovery of the body of Dwayne Jordan in a vacant home at 1098 Baldwin Avenue.

According to a criminal complaint, police believe Jordan overdosed on heroin that Clarke sold to him on September 22.

Investigators say Clarke and Gregory moved Jordan's body into the basement of the vacant home, covering it with a blanket to conceal the alleged drug sale.

Police say text messages about the incident led them to charge Clarke and Gregory.

District magistrate Dennis Songer set bail for Clarke and Gregory at $75,000 each.

The two are scheduled to appear in court again on October 29.
