First Valley snowfall of the season brings morning accidents
As the number of cars and truck increases on Valley roads, so do the number of accidents on the first snowfall of the season.
Authorities in Youngstown are investigating a two-vehicle rollover crash, which they say is slowing traffic on the northbound lanes of I-680 just before the 7-11 interchange. The accident happened at around 5 am. An ambulance was called to the scene.
Police have closed the ramp from Market Street to 680 in Youngstown as a result.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a pickup truck rolled over on westbound I-80 just before the Meander Reservoir at around 5:30 am.
First responders in Jackson Township were dispatched just before 6 a.m. to an accident with possible injuries on eastbound Interstate 76 about two miles east of Bailey Road.
Dispatchers in Trumbull County called out first responders just after 5 a.m. to a reported rollover crash along State Route 88 just east of Route 534 in Farmington.
A truck that jackknifed along eastbound Interstate 80 near the Route 193 ramp is not blocking traffic. No one was injured in that accident.
Plows and salt trucks from the Ohio Department of Transportation have been out treating roads in Trumbull and Mahoning counties since early Friday.
