The Farrell football team has won back to back state championships with a 10-7 overtime win over Bishop Guilfoyle.

Brian Hilton, Jr. kicked a 23-yard field goal in overtime after the Marauders were held scoreless on their possession. The Steelers have won back to back titles now twice, also in 1995-1996.

Farrell ran 59 plays for 215 yards and held the Marauders to 104 total yards on 46 plays.

Anthony Stallworth led the Steelers with 113 yards rushing and Raymond Raver Jr. scored their only touchdown in the second quarter.

The Steelers now have four football state championships.

The Farrell Steelers and Bishop Guilfoyle are heading to overtime tied at 7 in the PIAA Class A State Championship game.

With 3:46 left and the game tied at 7, Farrell takes over at the Marauders 35.

Bishop Guilfoyle blocked a punt in the fourth quarter and took over at the Farrell 5.  Three plays later, Keegan Myrick scored, and the extra point was good.  The game is tied at 7 with 9:08 left.

The Farrell Steelers defense has forced three turnovers, including two in their own territory, and continues to lead Bishop Guilfoyle 7-0 in the Class A State Championship game.

The Steelers have held the Marauders to less than 100 yards of total offense in three quarters.  Bishop Guilfoyle has run 34 plays for 85 yards.

Due to a brisk wind, only six passes have been thrown between the teams, with three completions for 25 yards.

The Farrell Steelers hold a 7-0 halftime lead over Bishop Guilfoyle in the PIAA Class A State Championship game.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers got on the board in the second quarter. Following a Brian Hilton fumble recovery at the Marauders 21, it took them only two plays to score.  Raymond Raver Jr. scored on a one-yard touchdown run, following a 20 yard run by Anthony Stallworth. Hilton kicked the conversion for the 7-0 lead.

The Steelers' Dwight  Ravenscraft came up with a big interception at his own 20 with less than 5:00 left in the quarter to turn away the Marauders.

Farrell has run 29 plays for 158 yards. Bishop Guilfoyle had 21 plays for a total of 57 yards.
