STRUTHERS, Ohio - An animal rescue in Struthers was surprised to find an unusual situation just outside their door on Monday.

Someone had left a cat inside what the shelter describes as an old tote taped shut with only a crack in the top for air.

The shelter said the tote was filled with about an inch of cold water mixed with what smelled to be bleach.

The cat was left near the main door of the animal shelter located on Midlothian Boulevard in Struthers.

The shelter named the cat Naamah, who was cleaned up and sent to the vet for a health evaluation.

In a Facebook post, the shelter said Naamah is doing well and is running a slight fever, but the shelter hopes the cat will come around with a little TLC.

The shelter is asking for those who have any information on the cat to call 330-397-8270 or message them on their Facebook page.

The video, when the shelter first discovered the cat can be found here.
