NILES, Ohio - The news is out: Boscov's is coming to the Eastwood Mall, creating not only a new place to shop but 300 new jobs in the Niles area.

One of the first positions they're looking to fill is someone to serve as a community affairs person.

CEO Jim Boscov says they're looking for someone who knows the community well. This person would get out in the community and help spread the word about the family-owned retailer.

As far as the 300 positions, there will be a mix of part-time and full-time positions up for grabs.

Boscov says there is not a set number of each, and they work with employees to try and give them the schedule they want.

Boscov's will use more space than any other retailer in Eastwood Mall's history. They will cover 180,000 square feet, taking over the space left by the now-closed Sears.

They're looking for people to fill stocking, sales, management, and inventory positions.

Boscov says they want people who are genuinely interested in providing good service.

The store is slated to open sometime in October this year.

The store will be hosting a job fair several months before they open.
