DETROIT - Just two hours after 21 News reported that U.S. Marshals had expanded their search for two fugitives, the suspects wanted for a double shooting surrendered to Youngstown police.

Authorities have been looking for 46-year-old Robert Young, IV, and 38-year-old Nichole Taylor since September 19 when the allegedly shot two people.

According to a statement from Youngstown Detective Brad Blackburn, both turned themselves in at around 11:30 am Friday.

The two are charged with felonious assault in connection with the serious wounding of Jammie Traylor and Clarissa Luckey, who were shot several times at a home on 3400 block of Wayside Drive. Also, a fire was set inside the home.

Both Young and Taylor were charged with felonious assault. Marshals in Youngstown put out an alert for their arrest, saying the two should be considered armed and dangerous.

21 News reported earlier Friday that U.S. Marshalls in Detroit were looking for the pair since Young has ties to Michigan.

In 1993 Young was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder in Detroit.

Marshals believed that Taylor's five-year-old son is with the couple and are concerned for the child's welfare.

The police statement did not mention the status of Taylor's child.
