Fund created to help Trumbull County needy during virus crisis

WARREN, Ohio - While just about everyone in the Valley is feeling the effects of the coronavirus epidemic, some of us are more vulnerable than others.
Needy individuals and families that struggle to obtain basic necessities of life such as shelter, food, and health care may be having an even more difficult time during the current crisis.
That’s why coalition of our area philanthropic, corporate, and civic partners have been formed to create the Trumbull County COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund.
The fund has been created to ensure local nonprofit organizations receive the support they need while serving on the frontlines of the pandemic across the community.
The Rapid Response Fund is designed to expand local capacity in order to help those that need it most throughout Trumbull County, especially those at risk of falling through a government safety net.
Local elected and philanthropic officials will reveal more about the need and how people can help during a Friday morning news conference.
