One arrested after Howland standoff

Police in Howland have arrested one man following a Friday morning standoff at a house in the 2600 block of Orchard Avenue.
Police called in a Crisis Response Team to assist with the situation, which began shortly before 6 a.m.
According to a dispatch log, police responded to the original call and found a man smashing windows in a vehicle in the driveway of the house, then ran back inside.
Once inside, another vehicle with an unknown number of people inside arrived at the house, several of whom also ran inside.
According to the dispatch sheet, a child inside the house was taken out by a female and put into that vehicle, but it's unclear who the child or the woman are, or what their relationship may be.
A crisis unit communicated with the man inside the house through a PA system.
Ronald Butler was taken into custody shortly before 9 am.
Howland police say the incident began as a domestic argument. Officers thought that Butler may have had a firearm.
