Warren crash victim given Narcan, charged with violating 'stay at home' order

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren who was given an opioid overdose antidote after his car rolled over has been charged with violating Ohio’s stay at home order.
Police say they found 41-year-old David Swiatek unconscious in his Chevy Cavalier, which had rolled over onto its roof in Perkins Park Saturday afternoon.
The officer says Swiatek was given a dose of Narcan until paramedics could arrive and take him to St. Joseph Hospital.
In addition to being charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle, Swiatek is charged with violating the state health department’s edict designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the police report, Swiatek was incoherent at the time and unable to comprehend the charges filed against him.
Swiatek is scheduled to answer the charges in Warren Municipal Court later.
