A Youngstown firefighter was taken to a hospital following a two-alarm fire at a bar on the city's West Side.

The first alarm came in shortly before 8:30 am Tuesday at the Double Deuce Saloon on Mahoning Avenue.

The second alarm was called in shortly after the first firefighters arrived on the scene.

Fire trucks blocked Mahoning Avenue in the area for more than an hour.

Investigators say a firefighter who was experiencing chest pain was taken to the hospital.

The name or condition of the victim has not been released.

A battalion chief is going to the hospital to check on the firefighter.

Investigators tell 21 News that the cause of the fire was electrical as the owner was making preparations to reopen the bar.

Most of the damage was caused by smoke and the business should be able to open again, according to investigators.
