Ohio salons and barbershops open: What you need to know

Ohio salons and barbershops will finally get to open their doors Friday, May 15th. However, the experience will be a little different from what we are used to as soon as you arrive in the parking lot.
“You will have to wait outside until it is your turn and once it is, we can come out and flag you in, shoot you a text that you can come in after we sanitize and disinfect everything,” says Tom Manstro, Owner of The Barber Shop in Boardman.
Panache Hair Salon in Boardman is asking their guests to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands as soon as they enter the salon. They will also take each customer's temperature as they enter.
“If they have a temperature, they'll be asked to reschedule. If they've been around someone who has been ill, we ask that they reschedule, says stylist of Panache Hair Salon, Michael Koutsourais.
“We would just hope if someones not feeling well, they would just respect us and reschedule,” said Manstro.
