Trumbull County has released statistics on overdose deaths reported so far in 2020.

As of May 18, 2020, there have been 17 overdose deaths and another 15 deaths are listed as potential overdose deaths yet to be confirmed.

Overdose deaths were reported in nine females and six males. 

Officials say fentanyl was involved in 13 of the overdose deaths.

For comparison, on May 18, 2019, there were 46 reported overdose deaths and on May 20, 2018, there were 21 overdose deaths reported.
