Taco Bell took to Twitter Thursday to address an incident where a Youngstown man was fired from one of their local restaurants.

29-year-old Denzel Skinner went live on Facebook last week saying that the manager of the restaurant told him to leave and not come back for wearing a face mask that said Black Lives Matter.

The news of Skinner's firing has spread throughout the nation over the last week with the hashtag #RIPTacoBell trending globally throughout the day.

Skinner told 21 News employees were made to wear face masks starting May 4 but the company notice did not address if the masks could or could not have words on it.

The 2010 Chaney High School graduate said he has been working at that Taco Bell location for eight years.

The firing led to protests outside the Liberty Taco Bell last Friday.

Taco Bell said Thursday that it does not prohibit employees from wearing Black Lives Matter masks.
