WARREN, Ohio - River Rock at the Amp in Warren announced Wednesday that all concerts scheduled for the summer 2020 lineup have been canceled.

This comes after an announcement from the state of Ohio for multiple counties, including Trumbull County, that a continued ban on indoor and outdoor concerts would continue.

Concerts at the Amphitheater will not resume until at least 2020.

Organizers made the decision as they believe there will be a continued ban on indoor and outdoor concerts in the state for the foreseeable future.

"We had planned to open because we thought we were going to. There was a concert in Mentor last night that was very successful, people really respected social distancing so of course, we thought it was going to go but now that we've heard that the indoor and outdoor concerts are not going to be allowed so I think it's just time to wrap it up for the year," says Ken Haidaris, President of Sunrise Entertainment.

The Warren Health Commissioner said he was on a conference call Wednesday with members of the Ohio Department of Health tat specifically said concert events would be canceled indefinitely.

While no official extension on the concert ban has been issued, Governor DeWine is expected to extend the ban in the coming days.
