East Liverpool City Hospital restricting all visitations

East Liverpool City Hospital is now restricting visitors to the hospital. According to a post from the hospital's Facebook page on Tuesday, "At East Liverpool City Hospital, our priority is to keep you, our patients, healthy and safe. At this time, we have decided to restrict all visitation until further notice."
Dr. Gretchen Nickell, Chief Medical Officer for East Liverpool hospital said that the decision was made to restriction visitation at this time with the hospital currently having patients with community spread COVID-19 at the hospital.

Nickell said the hospital is restricting visitors at this time for the safety of all. She also said the hospital is closely following the guidelines and mandates set forth by Ohio's Gov. Mike DeWine.
The hospital had 8 cases of COVID-19 from within the community in recent days and is currently treating four coronavirus patients.
Other regional hospitals, including Mercy Health and Salem Regional Medical Center, are not changing their visitation policies at this time.
