A discount retail store that will carry name brands is coming to Austintown's Wedgewood Plaza. The new store, Bin Depot, is set to open Saturday, July 25 at 9 a.m.

The owners of the new store are Valley residents, Harold Porter, Bruce Shepas, and Dan Gallagher.

The store is concept is similar to other bargain discounts lot stores that purchase lots of items from major retailers, and each day the inventory lasts, the price decreases.

Porter explained that Gallagher, who does the purchasing for the store, contracts with major retailers for inventory, which he is then responsible for, whether it sells or not.

The items that don't sell for the major retailers become "overstock" items that Bin Depot will sell for a fraction of their retail value.

As a result, on any given day in the Bin Depot store, you may find brand name products from Black and Decker, items from the Melissa and Doug child's toy line, Mainstay bedding, which are never priced any higher than $10. The store will offer overstock items from major retailers like Macy's, Target, and Walmart.

Every Saturday, Bin Depot will have a new inventory of goods available with a set price of $10 for the item. Each day, the price will decrease, with Sunday items priced at $8, Monday will drop to $6, and Tuesday, items will sell for $4 and decrease a dollar a day until Friday, where all items that remain are 50¢.

Store hours are Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The store will follow Ohio Gov. Mike Dewine's social distancing recommendations, will offer sanitization stations in the store and check-out lanes marked for safe social distancing as well.

The store is located in the Wedgewoood Plaza at 1739 S. Raccoon Rd., Austintown.
