SANDUSKY, Ohio - Cedar Point has canceled their popular 'HalloWeekend' events for the 2020 season.

The event will be replaced with "Tricks and Treats Fall Fest" which will be introduced starting September 12.

A release from the theme park said that the Fall Fest event has been designed to enable better social distancing and capacity management.

More information on the new event are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, but officials say it will feature unique entertainment, food and activities for all ages.

It was also announced that Cedar Point will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only after Labor Day with the last day of the season expected to be November 1.
