During Tuesday's COVID update, Governor Mike DeWine said there are concerns about a flea market in Columbiana County where there have been large crowds, no masks, and no social distancing.

Governor DeWine did not specify if it was Rogers Flea Market that draws thousands of people each Friday.

21 News spoke with Columbiana County Health Commissioner, Wes Vins, about that Tuesday afternoon.
He says he's working with the market's operators to encourage more mask-wearing and more social distancing.

"Spreading out the vendors more to reduce the close proximity of both the vendors and the attendees. Provide hand washing stations and sanitizers. Certainly continue the strong messaging. we know they do public announcing over the speaker," said Vins.

Columbiana County has had 110.6 cases per 100,000 people, from July 28th through August 10th.

21 News went to Rogers Flea Market Tuesday and noticed many people not wearing masks. They were social distancing however with distance in between one another.
