Teen motorcyclist left with serious injuries after Boardman crash

BOARDMAN, Ohio - A teen motorcyclist was seriously hurt after an SUV hit him in Boardman.

The crash happened Saturday near the intersection of Route 224 and Market Street around 7 p.m.

Khaled Abunoaj, 18, was taken to an area hospital and had serious injuries, according to Boardman Police Chief Todd Werth. The SUV driver was not taken to the hospital.

It's unclear what led up to the crash.

Officials were on the scene investigating for hours with a portion of the road closed off.
