Trumbull County health officials have released the latest data Wednesday on cases across the county based on zip code.

At the top of the 27 zip codes listed is 44483, which is mainly in the city of Warren, with 209 cases in total from the beginning of March to the end of August.

However, according to Sandy Swann, Director of Nursing at the Trumbull County Combined Health District, the high numbers may not mean that the area has a large community spread.

Swann said the case numbers are the zip code of where a person resides, not where they may have contracted the virus.

At least three nursing home facilities are listed in that zip code, meaning that those numbers are contributing to a congregate setting, and could be more than half of that zip code's cases.

21 News looked through the data and found that the following nursing home facilities had outbreaks and were last updated as of September 9.

Community Skilled Health Care Center: 29 cumulative cases (no current outbreak)

Windsor Armstrong Memory Assisted Living, 34 cumulative cases (no current outbreak)

Windsor House of Champion, 39 cumulative cases (no current outbreak, one new staff case reported Wednesday)

If you subtract those numbers (108) from the overall number of cases in the zip code area, it shows 101 cases as the presumed amount of community spread in the city.
