The VFW District is hosting a Selfless Service Day with a Stuff the Bus event at 3 different posts across the district. The event is set to start this Saturday at these locations
10 a.m to noon
Northfield VFW Post 6768

1 p.m to 3 p.m
Ralph Huff VFW Post 1062

5 p.m to 7 p.m
Mineral Ridge VFW Post 4192
3889 Main Street, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440
These events will benefit the local homeless population, with a focus on veterans, through the Youngstown blue coats.
The Youngstown Blue Coats collect warming items to distribute directly to the homeless population during the cold winter months.
The most needed items are called the big five:
1. coats
2. hats/gloves
3. boots
4. sleeping bags
5. tents
To donate all you have to do is drive to one of the three locations, pull up with your car, and pop your trunk open, and they will grab the items.
