Portion of Salem schools to go remote over COVID cases

SALEM, Ohio - A portion of the Salem City School District is going remote Friday after another staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the district, a second staff member at the Salem Junior-Senior High School tested positive for the virus.
All students in grades seven through 12 will have a remote learning day Oct. 30.
Schools officials say the building will be deep cleaned and contact tracing will be underway over the weekend.
Students in grades K through six will go to school as normal Friday.
All activities and practices for the junior high are canceled until Monday. High school activities and practices will continue as scheduled.
