New water extension being installed in Coitsville Township

Aqua Ohio, Mahoning County Commissioners, and Coitsville Township Trustees today announced their collaboration to construct a 2,790-foot water main extension that will serve The Purple Cat's new Camp Gabba.
The extension is set to benefit public health and economic development in Coitsville.
The $333,500 project is funded by Aqua and through an Appalachian Regional Commission grant secured by Mahoning County.
"We are excited about this project on several levels," said Jennifer Johnson, Aqua's area manager.
Johnson also went on to add "First, it represents Aqua's intention to continue our growth in the Mahoning Valley. Second, we're able to help The Purple Cat provide new services for adults with disabilities and finally, any time we can partner with public entities like Mahoning County to expand the availability of safe, reliable water, residents and businesses will benefit."
Coitsville Township Trustee Phyllis Johnson said, "We're glad to see the Purple Cat's establishment of Camp Gabba at Farmer Casey's Ranch. It really warms my heart to know these services are being provided right here in Coitsville Township. It's also important to acknowledge that this water main will support economic growth in the Township and gets us closer to our goal to have water and sewer available to the state line."
