LEETONIA, Ohio - The Leetonia Police Department will accept your personal packages to stop porch pirates this holiday season. 

 

Officers said if you are not going to be at home to get the packages when they arrive, you must call the police department when you have ordered your item with the date of when it will be arriving. 

 

You'll also need to clarify what is inside the package. 

 

The order will need to be picked up from the department the day it arrives.

 

Officers said they are unable to house the items and that this is just a safe drop-off point to prevent any thievery.  

 

The department will also help out with medical prescriptions that need to be delivered.

 

If you are elderly or handicap, one of the officers could drop your medication off to you during their shift when they are not busy.
