MECCA TWP., Ohio - Fire departments from surrounding communities in Trumbull County were called out early Thursday to battle flames in Mecca Township.
The first alarm went out at around 6:45 a.m. after a passer-by called 9-1-1 to report a large fire along Phillips Rice Road, just south of Mahan Denman Road.
The caller wasn’t sure if it was a garage or a barn on fire. The first firefighter on the scene said it was a large storage shed.
Two more alarms went out, summoning fire crews from other departments.
There are no reports of anyone being injured or any information on how the fire started.
The Trumbull County Fire Investigative Unit has been called to the scene.
