Wedgewood Pizza in Howland is asking people not to give any financial information through a Facebook page.

A co-owner tells 21 News someone created a fake Facebook page that looks similar to their page, but it's not their page. Their Facebook page does not ask for credit card information.  

The owners found out about the fake page after some customers called saying they had been sent a friend request and the site was soliciting personal information.  

Owners emphasize they would never ask for financial information over social media. They believe a few people did provide their financial information.

A co-owner told us Wedgewood Pizza is working to get the site taken down.

Fraud experts warn consumers, never give account information, Social Security numbers, bank information or other sensitive financial information on a social media website.
