AHN hospitals receive first doses of COVID-19 vaccine

One Mercer county hospital is beginning to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to it's staff but it will take a couple of months to get through everyone.
Grove City Hospital will begin to vaccinate employees on a priority basis, beginning with it's front line workers and other staff.
Public access will come sometime later.
Claire Zangerle Cheif nurse executive with AHN hospitals said, "I THINK THE PUBLIC IS UNDERSTANDING THAT FRONT LINE WORKERS ARE GETTING THE VACCINE FIRST. WITH THIS FIRST SHIPMENT WE DO EXPECT THAT OUR PATIENTS WILL START CALLING AND ASKING WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO THEM AND WE'LL BE PREPARED TO RESPOND BECAUSE WE'LL KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT SHIPMENTS WE'RE GETTING."
The hospital network estimates it will be February before all staff members receive the vaccine.
