It will now be up to a grand jury to decide on a case involving a teen facing an aggravated robbery charge after a 4-year-old boy's shooting death in Struthers.

Brandon Crump Jr., 18, had been originally charged with aggravated robbery with a gun specification in juvenile court. Judge Theresa Dellick decided on March 3 that the charge would be bound over to common pleas court. For the charge, she set the bond at $400,000.

Judge Dellick also bound over felony assault and escape charges, which are unrelated to the case involving the 4-year-old boy.

Crump was charged after the shooting death of Rowan Sweeney on Sept. 21 at a home on Perry Street. Crump is not charged in the death of Sweeney.

Kimonie Bryant, 24, allegedly shot and killed Sweeney and hurt four others. He faces charges including four counts of aggravated murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of felonious assault, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated robbery.

During an October news conference, Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains said the investigation revealed it was well known that one of the adult victims in the home had recently received a check for several thousand dollars. Around $5,000 from the check remained on the coffee table at the time. Gains said Bryant fled the scene, and when police arrived, no cash was on the coffee table.
