NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -
A New Middletown Police Department sergeant is on leave as she faces an OVI charge following a crash.
The New Middletown police chief confirmed that Brooke McCon has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
The move follows a Boardman Township accident McCon was involved in on April 9th.
Troopers say McCon was northbound on I-680 and rear-ended another vehicle.
She was eventually arrested for refusing to submit to a field sobriety test and is also facing a charge of failing to maintain an assured distance.
McCon will be arraigned April 27 on the charges.
