Mother of two accuses Warren man of beating, tying her up in basement

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man is in jail, accused of abducting, beating, threatening, and tying up a mother or two toddlers in his basement.
Brandon Kniceley, 22, was arrested on Monday following a complaint by a 26-year-old woman, who police say was frantic and shaking when she recounted what happened to her at Kniceley’s Oak Street SW home Sunday night.
The woman, who had abrasions and a cut on her neck, as well as bruises on her legs and neck, told an officer she wanted to leave Kniceley, who she describes as an ex-boyfriend.
The alleged victim told police as she was picking up the youngest of her two children, Kniceley began punching her in the face and side, also allegedly holding a kitchen knife to her neck threatening to kill her.
The woman said the former boyfriend locked her in the basement, beating her sides and legs throughout the night, tying her to the bed with extension cords.
Kniceley’s uncle told investigators that the woman was freed after he told his nephew to let her go.
The woman did not require medical attention, according to the police report.
Charges of assault and abduction have been filed against Kniceley in Warren Municipal Court.
